welcome weary traveler,
todays quest is to procure a hand sewn corset.
the reward for completion is…. a hand sewn corset lmao
i am still very new to corset making but i wanted to share the process regardless. i love corsets and stays but refuse to afford the heavy pricetag attached to them, so i decided to give it a go on my own and it was a lot easier than i anticipated.
it isn’t perfect but i hope you enjoy.

adjustments i made //
– combined the two side panels into one piece
– elongated the bottom to reach my natural waist
– elongated the top to cover more of my chest
– spaced the straps farther apart on the back
– changed the boning channel positions
– sew the top bias tape as one solid piece that goes over the straps as well, rather than the process they used.
mitered corner bias tape tutorial // this shows very simply how to sew the corners of the bias tape, just follow the directions but hand sew instead of machine.
