TUTORIAL – mending a sock start to finish with my Swift Darning Loom

By letter2self on October 30, 2022

Here’s my latest sock darning tutorial! From beginning to end, how I fixed this sock. I show you how I add the warp threads, an advanced technique for the weft threads that you can try, how to get good tension with the help of a weft pick (available on worthmending.com), how to bind off and weave in the ends. The whole deal.

If you’re interested in buying a Swift Darning Loom, check out our website:

We have inventory restocks planned for every month in 2022! We’re working hard to meet demand and are so grateful for your support.

With the popularity of cheap knockoff versions of darning looms available on mass retail sites, I’m sure many folks will see this and apply the skills to a product that is not mine and that’s great! Get mending! However, I know they don’t come with great instructions, so if you learned something from this, please consider supporting my unpaid work (including making this video free and public) by buying a digital product or leaving a tip at checkout. As a small independent maker, it truly means so much, keeps our dog’s kibble bowl full and allows us to pass the generosity forward by donating to grassroots community projects working to build a better world as well! 🙂
