Work is advancing quickly on development of a hazelnut industry in the Upper Midwest. With recent advances in germplasm development, agronomics, and post-harvest processing, it is time for specialty crop producers to start kicking the tires and asking questions, particularly fruit growers that understand the challenges of a perennial woody crop. This presentation will provide updates on the industry and how growers can get involved.
