Refashion your old jeans into a designer jeans with this denim thrift flip tutorial. Learn how to refashion a jeans without sewing and just some hand stitches to create a designer looking denim. If you love diy jeans hacks and diy jeans projects look at my other videos to.

The diy double waistband design element is easy to recreate at home from old jeans. Just make sure that the jeans are wide enough and do have some stretch to make your life easier. Use old denims and reuse your old jeans for a sustainable upcycled fashion project. Resew old jeans into this amazing double waistband jeans project.

In this denim jeans upcycling project we use a stitch and bleach technique to create a striped pattern on jeans. First do a test to see how the bleach reacts, than sew in irregular pleats with the sewing machine. Than use a spray bottle to apply multiple layers of bleach and continue till satisfied. Than I used fabric etch acid to distress jeans. The cotton denim fabric that is treated with the ausbrenner acid reacts under the iron. Best to do a patch test on a little piece first to see the reaction, this might burn pretty big holes in your jeans! Luckily my jeans had unexpectedly a polyester thread running through, so the distressed effect was more subtle and the holes where nicely kept together by the polyester thread. Than rinse and rub to dissolve the burned fibers in water and throw in the washing machine. After you can seamrip the threads out or just rip them open to reveal your bleached patterns. Hope you liked this denim upcycling project with bleach and devorant acid. Check out more of my fabric manipulation tutorials in the diy fabric modification ideas playlist.
