Georgia’s sustainable forestry initiative provides consumers with confidence that the timber sourced from Georgia’s forests is done in a way that is cognizant of environmental impacts and forest health. Foresters work to control erosion on site, maintain a healthy forest, and regenerate after harvest. This industry regulation also helps maintain water quality and biodiversity in the forest.
