Seven years ago in 2014 I uploaded a similarly titled video found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sq0bHk5VcuI . I was a few years past the initial start back then in 2014 to purposefully build my backyard into a food growing area and one year from participating in a Permaculture Design Course (PDC) 2013.
If I had to describe the best on the top developing characteristic from 2014 to 2021 is that I have learned it would be how to think. Thinking about how to blend, mixing and matching wildness of natural flora and fauna with just barely enough organized for human consumption food growing systems to pay me for the effort with producing natural nutritious food. Learning to use the natural system for this production – an idea introduced to me from the PDC.
Finally, after eight years, I think to have graduated my PDC Certificate. Now you can be witness to my work to this point.
This small backyard is going to grow in production every year until it reaches climax – I don’t know how long that will take – in itself this has been an interesting ongoing productive successional experiment and will continue to be for quite sometime in the least. A majority of my 1300+ videos on this channel are of these experiments and production results.
