Transcript:
– [Narrator] As part of our commitment to create a sustainable world, in May of 2021, Phoenix Contact began the installation of 2,185 solar modules on the roof of our US headquarters in Middletown, Pennsylvania. Every second, the sun produces enough energy to provide the earth with power for 500,000 years. Solar is Earth’s most plentiful source of energy. It provides free fuel to the world. It just needs to be captured. Solar energy is promoted by the United States Green Building Council as the preferred on-site, renewable, self-supplied energy. And it is a state- and federally-recognized renewable clean and green energy source. Annually, our solar installation will produce 1,241,236 kilowatt hours, which is equivalent to powering 160 homes every year. It will eliminate 1,939,279 pounds of CO2 greenhouse gas from the atmosphere. Our photovoltaic or PV energy system will save the same amount of CO2 as that produced in 1,078 acres of US forests in a year. Our PV energy system has a useful life cycle of more than 40 years. Join us in our passion for technology in innovation as we create a sustainable world together. —
