Boohoo and Patagonia made major announcements last week: Boohoo hired Kourtney Kardashian as their new “sustainability ambassador” while Patagonia is transferring its business to an NGO. Boohoo is a major fast fashion brand (aka unethical and not sustainable) while Patagonia has been focusing on doing better for years. The contrast between the two is quite representative of the extremes currently happening in the fashion industry. Let’s look into it.
