I recently came across different articles that discuss the waste that is produced by the fashion industry and thought it was shocking how much water is used to produce clothes but also how much fabric ends up as waste before it is sold in the shops.
I therefore wanted to try to create a dress and only produce minimal amounts of waste. I wasn’t able to produce no waste at all. however compared to other projects the waste was near to no waste at all 🙂
The fabric I used was 1,15 m x 1,13 m and I am a UK size 6.
I hope you enjoy the video – I would love to hear some feedback on how sewing can be more sustainable 🙂
