Last video in the Series about how I made a Folkinspired Set out of Second Hand Pieces.
Do you want to wear more clothes that are inspired by history or by folklore? Me too, so I made this Folkinspired Set by using only second hand pieces I bought online. This Set is 100% Triftflipped because I wanted to challenge myself and see what I can make out of things that are already existing…and also because I loathe pattern drafting ;).
The Design of the Folkblouse was inspired by a Blouse by Lena Hoschek. I just love the garments she designs. It all started with an oversized blouse that I bought second hand online. I took in the sides and made some puffy sleeves. For the petticoat I bought one of the cheapest maxiskirts online, shortened it and added insertion lace.
So with the undergarments complete the Bellflower Set is done. I have to say I had so much fun making it and I learned a lot. Not just about sewing but also about what content I want to make for my YouTube Channel. I enjoyed upcycling modern pieces to Folkwear/Histocial Clothing so much that I want to keep doing it. I want to see what else I can make out of Second Hand Pieces.
