Inspired by the use of lightweight aluminium in the all-new Nissan Qashqai, the engineers at Nissan’s Sunderland plant developed new, more sustainable ways of working, including a closed-loop recycling system.
Investment in aluminium production and the cyclone recycling facility reduces waste and CO2 emissions, contributing to Nissan’s goal of achieveing carbon neutrality across the company’s operations and the life cycle of its products by 2050.
