Emoji Pants (Upcycled baby second hand/hand me down Gap jeans)
All you need is a pair of old denim jeans and adhesive emoji patches. You can stick this fancy patch on your tote bags, travel bags, mobile devices, laptops, and lots more. These emoji stickers can also be used to spruce up the look of your apparel, footwear or accessories. I got all of mine from Joann fabric and craft store on sale!!
Cat Face Knee Leggings (Upcycled baby second hand Gap Leggings)
This one was tricky for us to make because I do not know how to draw and I just think using fabric paint to “free hand” a cat face was not that good of an idea. It turned out a little messy BUT still wearable and we actually got COMPLIMENTS when wearing them out at the park! I do recommend to practice drawing a cat face first on paper AND use leggings that you won’t care if they get ruined. The fabric paint/ brushes I used I bought on sale at Joann fabric and craft store.
Graphic Tees (Seen at the stores, ETSY and Pinterest Inspired) For these I bought at Target a pack of Hanes boy t shirts and bought on Amazon Avery Fabric Transfers. Depending on the brand of fabric transfers you use, depends on the way you will use them so please read the instructions carefully! A tip I have for this one is to be VERY careful when cutting out your images. These scratch EASLY! If you look closely, you can see where I accidentally scratched my images! BUT in the end they still turned out super cute!
Studded Beanies/Shorts- This was super easy to make! I bought the colorful metal studs from Amazon. They are actually really easy to apply and bend. You can hot glue the studs for a more permanent look, but we just attached them with he little spikes so we can have options to take them off and change the colors whenever we want.
Resize a T-Shirt- This is a DIY Life hack that will change your life! Just get any normal size shirt and draw a rough outline, cut, make fringes tie together and that’s it! SO EASY! This is something I will be doing to all of my oversized sports and band shirts! One tip I have though is that the smaller the fringes and the more fringes u make, the LONGER it will take to tie together. So if you try this one make sure you put on a movie before you start! LOL
Plaid Ripped Shorts (Upcycled hand me downs) For this one we used some old denim jeans and a plaid bow we no longer use. To distress, it does also take some time but the end result is all worth it! Once done distressing, put them in the washer and that makes the ripped parts look much more stylish and then apply the plaid patch. I LOVE making my own ripped jeans! I actually made some for my baby and people always ask me where I bought them. The pants I used here were Carters but to be honest try to use jeans from Old Navy. Old navy and Gap denim material distresses much better. Brought this look all together with none other than the best backpack out there, Fjallraven Mini Kanken in Sky Blue. My daughter loves her nankeen mini backpack. You should watch what’s in my toddlers Fjallraven Kanken Mini Backpack and Review! link above.
Bonus DIY (Spur of the moment fringe shirt)
I loved how this one turned out! I WILL be doing this to all of my t shirts! The tip I recommend here is to buy/use fabric scissors!!
