How to Mend and Heal a Broken Heart

By letter2self on May 15, 2023

Seeing your ex will bring out the emotions and feelings you’re trying to let go of, and you’ll be more likely to say or do something in the heat of the moment that you’ll later regret. Avoid your ex partner like the plague to give yourself time to learn how to heal a broken heart.

When it comes to learning how to heal a broken heart, there are no shortcuts. Accept how much the breakup hurt you by giving yourself the time and space to heal. Healing a broken heart is difficult, but it is not impossible.

Your first step should be to give yourself some alone time, during which you do not see or contact your ex. As difficult or childish as it may appear, this is the best way to heal a broken heart.

Do not attempt to contact your ex in any way. Avoid calling, texting, or passing messages through friends. It is critical to take time apart to allow the healing process of a broken heart to take place. Seeing or contacting your ex-partner will only aggravate the wound.

Crying is an excellent way to release all of your feelings and emotions, so grab a pillow and some tissues and go for your life. Remember that crying is perfectly normal, it does not indicate weakness, rather, it is a way of letting go and cleansing yourself of unwanted feelings.

Distracting yourself will keep you from thinking about your ex and focusing on the loss over time. Instead of staying at home, go out and have fun with your friends. Beginning to enjoy your life again will assist you in learning how to heal a broken heart and move on.

Express your feelings to those close to you to learn how to heal a broken heart. Allow them to become bored with your breakup story, but it will help you understand and reconcile to the ground realities.

Everything that reminds you of the relationship is off limits. Put these in a box or cupboard where they will be out of sight for your own good. Only when you can recall the relationship without missing it will you be ready to see these mementos again. The key to healing a broken heart is to forget about your ex.
