If we’re going to build a greener and healthier future, we have to tackle our waste problem.
For too long we’ve been part of a linear economy, where products are made to break and destined to end up in landfill. We need to make a shift to a zero-waste, circular economy, where items are made to last and can be repaired or made into new items. This creates less strain on our planet, saves money and resources, and would create jobs.
The good news is communities around the country (and across the world) are stepping up to the challenge by opening repair cafés; upcycling and repair hubs where locals can get everyday items fixed for free.
Come inside a repair café with us and hear from the founders about the benefits to their community and the planet, and get inspired to explore a repair café yourself!
