Hot composting and making your own compost has a huge number of benefits. Home composting can be a rewarding and therapeutic pursuit to help you relax and enjoy the great outdoors. At the same time giving you with the satisfaction of making your own rich organic compost that will make your plants flourish!

However, the principles behind effective hot composting are not the same as traditional cold composting which is why it can sometimes be a little tricky to get up to temperature. If you are struggling to get over 40 degrees Celsius you may discover a reason why by watching this video.

In this video we cover Bulking Agent, shredded paper, the correct valve settings and also the minimum amount you need to feed your HotBin weekly to maintain good HotBin composting temperatures of 40 to 60°c.
