Rose pruning can be intimidating for beginners. Garden advice on the topic is often presented as a set of “rules” to follow for proper pruning or roses. These rules and guidelines are well-intended, but can themselves add uncertainty without explanation and context. In this video I’ll go through seven of the most commonly advised pruning practices, explain the “why” around them, and give my opinion about whether you should follow them.
