How to Preserve Plums – How to Freeze Plums – Plum Preserve by Freezing – Fruit Preserve HomeyCircle

By letter2self on November 5, 2024

How to preserve plums by freezing and storing them in the freezer. This video will show you a plum preserve technique (that we use in our household), a step-by-step process on how to freeze plums for future use. This is just one of the plum preserving ideas that makes plum preserves no sugar, and no pectin needed.

We grow a lot of Santa Rosa plums, we have around 3 to 4 Santa Rosa plum trees in our backyard, so every year, we ended up of hundreds of plum fruits harvest that we cannot possibly consume all of them within few days before the plums start to overripe or get ruined. That’s why we need to preserve plums harvest by freezing them, that way we can use it in the near future for recipes like making smoothies, etc. Have plums as needed at that time, simply grab frozen preserves from the freezer anytime of year.

TIP: Although plum skins are edible, we suggest peeling them so that you can also remove the seeds in the middle before you freeze the fruit. You have to make sure that the plum fruit is fully ripe so that the plum’s skin will peel easily without blanching them with hot water.
