Here are the materials you’ll need:
– about 1.3 m (1.5 yds) medium weight knit fabric
– 50 cm Fusible interfacing 3 cm wide
– Buttons – 3 medium/large (or 5 small)
– Buttonhole machine foot
– Machine needle for knit fabric (stretch, jersey
, ballpoint, etc.)
– Matching thread
– Glasshead pins
– Scissors
– Seam ripper
– Marking tools
The fabric I’ll be using is a ponte knit. You can use any medium weight moderate stretch knit fabric, like a sweater knit, french terry, or a ribbed knit.
